Center for Jewish History Joint Statement on Israel

New York, NY (October 09, 2023)

In the wake of Hamas's murderous attacks and abductions in Israel, the Center for Jewish History and all five partner organizations stand in solidarity with the Israeli people.

The attacks have not only inflicted immense pain and suffering but have evoked haunting echoes of history. As institutions deeply committed to the preservation of Jewish history and culture, we recognize that the attacks are the worst against the Jewish people since the Holocaust and are a stark reminder of the enduring threats faced by the Jewish community.

We stand firmly with Israel.  Together we condemn terrorism and reiterate our shared dedication to the values that bind us.  We extend our thoughts, prayers, and support to the people of Israel during these challenging times.

With hope for a more peaceful tomorrow.
