The Institute for Advanced Research at the Center for Jewish History unites scholarly research, preservation, and public access, creating a dynamic ecosystem for historical discovery. By integrating the Lillian Goldman Reading Room with Metadata and Discovery Services (online library), the Institute expands its reach and impact, connecting researchers with the Center’s vast collections, over 500,000 volumes and 100 million archival documents. Public services staff and metadata experts work together to ensure materials are accessible and discoverable, helping scholars uncover new insights. Each year, ten fellows conduct original research alongside Partner fellows in the Lillian Goldman Reading Room, contributing to a growing body of influential scholarship.
