The Center for Jewish History Gala: 2023 Edition

On the evening of Wednesday, June 7th, friends, board members, staff, and guests gathered at the Center for Jewish History, home to the world’s largest and most comprehensive archive of the modern Jewish experience outside of Israel, to celebrate the Center, its accomplishments over the past year, and to honor the life and work of Professor Michael Meyer, one of the world's most distinguished Jewish historians and Professor Emeritus at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati.

On this incredible night, the Center’s halls were again filled with joy and laughter for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the gala in 2019. Center President Dr. Gavriel Rosenfeld, CEO Rio Daniel, Board President Peter Baldwin, and the entire board and staff were thrilled to welcome so many friends, family, and supporters back into the building to congratulate one another on the past year's achievements and look forward to future successes.

Over the course of the evening, Baldwin announced the Center had just secured an endowment of four million dollars to enable future scholars to conduct ten-month research fellowships, thanks to the generosity of Robert Rifkind, the Leon Levy Foundation, Sid Lapidus, and Arcadia.
