Convening of the New York State Anti-Hate in Education Center
Antisemitism is on the rise across New York, but the fight against hate took a decisive step forward at the Center for Jewish History on December 5, 2024, during the inaugural Annual Convening of the New York State Anti-Hate in Education Center, now officially known as the Center for Civil Discourse in Education.
The event brought together Governor Kathy Hochul, elected officials, and educational leaders to tackle this urgent issue head-on. Attendees engaged with actionable strategies aimed at creating safer, more inclusive environments in P-12 schools, higher education institutions, and communities statewide.
