Rio Daniel, CEO
Rio Daniel is the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Jewish History, where she oversees the institution's strategic, operational, and financial leadership. Since assuming the role of CEO, she has guided the Center through a period of growth and transformation, advancing its mission to preserve, illuminate, and share Jewish history while strengthening its position as a leading cultural and educational institution.
Ms. Daniel joined the Center in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2021 before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer.
A licensed Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Daniel brings more than two decades of experience in finance, operations, and nonprofit management. Prior to joining the Center, she held leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Guggenheim Museum, and AHRC New York City. She holds a degree from the University of Cambridge.
Beyond her work at the Center, Ms. Daniel has served as a Guest Lecturer in the Museum Studies Program at New York University's Graduate School of Arts & Sciences since 2021, teaching Financial Reporting and Budgeting. She is also a Board Member of the Council of American Jewish Museums.
